Anzac Parade Earrings

My grandparents on both sides served in World War 2. German and Australian, they were in opposition - only to be thrust together in future life through my parents. War seems such a futile act.

I remember sitting on the cold hard ground of Anzac Parade early one morning, watching the rows of soldiers - young and old - marching towards the majestic War Memorial. At the time I didn't really understand why we were there - but as I get older and the gravity of my grandparents experiences hits home, the importance of a place of memorial - and recognition - seems ever more important.

Brushed Sterling Silver with a stud back, these earrings hang 7.5cm below the earlobe.
